Define Success
Someone in my previous entry asked me to define success, which got me thinking. I wanted to make the definition as concise as possible, while clearly defining success. So here it is:
"Reaching your goals, whatever they may be."
What do you guys think defines success? Leave comments. In following Ramtin's example, I will give an award to the best answer. How does $20 sound? (minimum of 10 responses for me to consider this legit)

i don't think success is necessarily when you have achieved what you wanted. sometimes you get what you want and realize that something else is better. would that still be success? i think that success is achieved when you can look at everything you have and everything that you don't have, all that you have done and all that you haven't done, and say that you are truly happy and wouldn't have it any other way. true, something may happen to change this so you are no longer happy and therefore, by the definition i have given, no longer successful. but even "successful" businesses go under sometimes. success is something that you must work at to acheive and continue working at to keep. it is a goal, but not a destination.

The definition of success is when you have financial freedom- not worrying about bills, or price tags. But, it must also inlude love because no matter how much money you have, loneliness can be the most terrible thing in life, and all the money on earth will not make you happy. The definition of success also includes freedom of mind. THis includes being free from anger, fear, and guilt. Even if you have all these in your life, you can't get much satisfaction out of it unless you're healthy. Lastly, you need personal satisfaction in order to consider yourself successful. This is the feeling of personal fulfillment, knowing you have achieved something, or definitely on the way of achieving it. TO sum it up, success is a combination of financial freedom, love, peace of mind, health, and personal satisfaction.

But.. it can be seen. And the picture of it is in Arhur's blog, titled "define success". (the picture of the old random man, in speedos and water goggles, ready to swim.) That my friend's is the definition of "success".
