Why "Get Rich Quick" Guides Sell So Well But Never Work

We have all seen those late-night infomercials about creating wealth and financial freedom by following a "simple" system. Most of us are smart enough to realize it is never that easy, but some of us are tempted to give it a shot. After all, they make it sound so simple! We all know that the vast majority of the people who try these systems never make a penny, so how come these companies are making so much damn money selling something that doesn't work? Here's why:

1. They make it seem like it is an easy, step-by-step process by providing dozens of CDs, books, videos, and checklists.
2. The more that is included in the package, the more enticed you are to try it.
3. Once you actually purchase the system, you have to wait for it to get shipped to you.
4. By the time it's shipped to you, you're no longer as excited about it.
5. Having finally made time to skim through the package, you realize it will take a large investment of time to go through all of it, especially the audio cds and videos (who has time for those?)
6. You get through a CD or two, then realize that the directions are general and no one is going to hold your hand through anything.
7. You realize it's going to take considerable risk and money to actually try anything in the system.
8. You get sidetracked with your work, family, etc.
9. You never have time to go back and learn everything in the system and don't ask for refund because you haven't given it a shot yet.
10. It sits in a box for years until you realize what a horrible mistake you made and throw it away.
