Me: 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes, hashbrowns and a 30 oz steak
The Queen: i didn't ask what you wanted, but what you actually had

News Isn't New

From "Schneider on Security":

"One of the things I routinely tell people is that if it's in the news, don't worry about it. By definition, "news" means that it hardly ever happens. If a risk is in the news, then it's probably not worth worrying about. When something is no longer reported -- automobile deaths, domestic violence -- when it's so common that it's not news, then you should start worrying."

No One Told Me!

Yesterday I discovered my navigation can speak in different languages and dialects thanks to the valet guys at Ruth's Chris Beverly Hills who messed with my settings. So here is what it can do:

US English Female
US English Male (sounds British though)
UK English Female
French
Spanish
Italian
Deutsche

So now I put on navigation wherever I go, even if I know where I'm going because it's fun to hear the French lady get mad at me in French for not making my turns.

Spin-Off Blog

I'm thinking of spinning off the financial / business posts I write into a new blog dedicated to only that topic. What do you guys think? It'll take me a little bit until I get my workload to a comfortable enough level that I have the time to write in both, but I think it'll be a good idea. The idea came from Neville's Financial Blog. I liked the idea that I only had to read about his financial goals and experiments (some quite creative) and skip on the personal stuff (I promise I won't do the random bolding of words though).

Recommendations? Suggestions? Comments? Concerns?

College != Financial Success

You might not get the formula in the title. Don't worry, it's a programming thing. Simply stated, going to college doesn't guarantee your financial success. As stated on the Forbe's website. "The average net worth of Forbes 400 members without a college degree is 6.6% higher than members with a degree. " The entire article is very interesting.

Does this mean everyone should drop out? Of course not! For most people, that would be a disaster. My point is that no one should be looked down upon simply because they chose not to attend college. Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Larry Ellison, and Michael Dell all chose to concentrate on their career rather than school. Don't assume people are lazy if they don't want to wait 4 years to start pursuing their dreams.
